Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Sketcut platform and services. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. The service
Sketcut is a digital manufacturing platform operated from Cairo, Egypt. It lets you upload or create designs, configure parts in the materials we stock, receive instant pricing, and order manufacturing services including laser cutting, engraving, and bending, with delivery to your address.
2. Accounts
You need an account to place orders. Keep your login details confidential — activity under your account is your responsibility. Registration requires accurate information, one account per phone number, and your residence country and currency are set at registration. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the platform.
3. Your designs and intellectual property
You keep full ownership of the designs you upload or create. By ordering, you grant Sketcut the license needed to process, validate, and manufacture your parts. You are responsible for ensuring your designs do not infringe the rights of others — we may refuse orders that appear to violate intellectual-property laws.
If you publish a design to the Sketcut community, you choose to make it visible and orderable by others under the terms shown when publishing, and you can earn from orders of your published designs.
4. Orders, pricing, and payment
Prices are calculated by the platform from the material your part consumes and the cutting work it needs, plus any extras you add such as engraving or bending. The full price — including delivery fees and any promo-code discount — is shown before you confirm an order. Payment is made through the methods offered at checkout.
5. Production and amendments
We check orders before and during production. If a part cannot be produced as configured, we may propose an amendment (for example a small geometry or material change). Amendments are sent to you for review — production of the affected item continues only after your response.
6. Delivery
Orders are delivered to the shipping address you select at checkout. Delivery fees and options are shown before you confirm. Please inspect your parts on arrival and contact us promptly about any problem with your order.
7. Community and messages
Community posts, published designs, reviews, and messages must be lawful and respectful. We moderate community content and may remove content that is offensive, infringing, or harmful, and restrict accounts that repeatedly violate these rules.
8. Earnings and withdrawals
Earnings from published designs or partner-workshop production appear in your wallet after a short holding period and can be withdrawn using the methods offered on your Financial page. Withdrawal requests are reviewed by our team before payout.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the platform: no attempts to break or overload it, no uploading of malicious files, no ordering of items that are illegal in your jurisdiction, and no use of the service to infringe the rights of others.
10. Liability
We work hard to manufacture accurately and deliver reliably. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
11. Ending your account
You can request account deletion from your settings at any time; our team processes deletion requests, and your phone number stays reserved for a period before it can be reused. We may retain records we are legally required to keep.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be announced on the platform. Continuing to use Sketcut after a change means you accept the updated terms.
